What Happened to Cass McBride

I had been looking for this book for several months in bookstores and couldn't find it, so I finally ordered it online. It was definitely money well spent. Gail Giles manages to show the terribly frightening aspect of high school peer pressure. Pair that with burying someone alive, and who can imagine anything worse?

With so many evil characters in one novel, Gail Giles leaves you wondering who is the real victim in this book. The plot is simple, but the character are complex. When Cass McBride quotes her father as once saying, "if someone wants something and someone else has it, there's a deal waiting to be made." One wouldn't think that a person buried alive would able to manipulate her captor, but that is exacly what Cass does.

This is definitely a chilling tale, but it's one that thrills and entertains right to the end.
